We are pleased to announce the Dubrovnik International ESEE Mining school will be held from 20 to 25 November 2017 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
This year the school is a part of a project financed by EIT RawMaterials. University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, is the project coordinator, while the school is organised in collaboration with project partners from Montanuniversitaet Leoben and Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute.

The “Business Idea Competition 2017” of the EIT RawMaterials is now open.
The Competition seeks innovative ideas from individuals, research teams, entrepreneurs and early stage startups for new products, processes and services in the raw materials value chain. The deadline for submission of the ideas is May 31st.

On Thursday, May 11th, 2017, ZAG hosted the INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON ALKALI - ACTIVATED MATERIALS (“geopolymers”) and a meeting of the technical committee RILEM TC 247 DTA (Chair: Prof. John L. Provis; Secretary: Dr Frank Winnefeld). The Technical Committee 247– DTA (Durability testing of alkali– activated materials) deals with the durability aspects of alkali activated materials (AAM), in particular the determination of resistance to frost, carbonation, penetration of chlorides and other aggressive media.
