INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON ALKALI– ACTIVATED MATERIALS
Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG) is to host a meeting of the technical committee RILEM TC 247 DTA (Chair: Prof. John L. Provis; Secretary: Dr Frank Winnefeld). The Technical Committee 247– DTA (Durability testing of alkali– activated materials) deals with the durability aspects of alkali activated materials (AAM), in particular the determination of resistance to frost, carbonation, penetration of chlorides and other aggressive media.
In parallel to the meeting, ZAG will organize a one-day workshop on alkali– activated materials in order to present the technology of alkaline activation and the potential uses of such materials to the general, as well as professional public.The workshop will be held at ZAG, on Thursday, 11 May 2017, from 10 AM to 5 PM.
