Cableway installations
As devices designed to carry persons, cableway installations (aerial ropeways, ski-lifts, and funiculars) must, without regard to their age, ensure a high level of safety in operation. This depends, to a high degree, on the condition of the individual sub-systems of these devices, and in particular: their load-bearing civil engineering structures, ropes, , carriers (cabins, chairs, carriages, and tow-hangers), tensioning devices, drive systems and other mechanical equipment, electrical equipment and safety devices.

Using the most up-to-date testing equipment, ZAG, with several decades of experience in the field of cableway installations, performs the following work:
- technical inspections of cableway installations so that technical approval documents for their operation can be issued, as the Inspection Body for cableway installations according to the standard SIST EN ISO/IEC 17020,authorized by the Ministry of the Infrastructure RS,
- special inspections of the sub-systems and safety devices of cableway installations,
- magnetic rope testing (MRT) of steel wire ropes in order to check for the existence of any damage which could reduce their load-bearing cross-sections,
- fatigue testing of the dynamic load-carrying capacity of the structural elements of cableway installations,
- safety analyses of cableway installations,
- expert opinions about the causes of accidents and other extraordinary events on cableway installations,
- supervision of the splicing and socketing of wire ropes,
- verification of the ability of workers to perform particularly demanding work with wire ropes (splicing and socketing).
